The Royals won their final two games of the Indoor League season to retain the title. Having spent the majority of the 2019 season chasing down the RG Blue Sox, a win over the Blue Sox in week 8

coupled with a surprise defeat for the

Blue Sox against the TV Typhoons, meant

that the title's destination was in the

Royals hands. The Blue Sox did win their

last two games to put the pressure on the

Royals to win their last two games. In a

slightly nervy evening, the Royals did what

was needed  against the Scorchers and the

Flyers to become the 3rd WMSL team to

both win the League and retain it the

following year.
